Nona has a her sharp eye for fads and fancies whether they all-purpose, shiny new gadgets, offered to hopeful newly-weds or the more the dangerous kind that lead hopeful young men to fight one another. But equally has a kindly eye for a new and better way of doing things, she can't imagine how she lived without the telephone! But the simple test she applies is does it solve problems that capable hands guided by common sense can't? If not, it's just another fad.
